Joey Pero Record Release!
Last week I had the pleasure of turning out to support my friend and neighbor Joey Pero to celebrate the release of his debut jazz album ‘Resonance.’
At a soiree hosted by Resonance Music Group, Veuve Clicquot, and my client ‘Rogan’ – Joey gave a fabulous performance that showcased his amazing talent on the trumpet.
Here’s my roommate, Lindsay, (she’s the one in the fierce leather mini skirt!) – With flawless skin airbrushed by me!
Lindsay wanted a ‘no make-up’ look, and airbrushed foundation created using Temptu aqua make-up was the perfect application technique to achieve the effortless look.

100th Post!: My Make-up @ the Bijules Fall 2009 Presentation
This picture is from the Bijules Fall 2009 presentation last week. I wanted to share the makeup I was wearing, but this image of me hanging a sequin lamae heart on the wall isn’t exactly the clearest. This picture, taken after I cut the heart out of a giant gold tent, is one of the only photos I have from the night.
I know you can’t really see, but I’m going to tell you what I’m wearing anyway: Josie Maran Tinted Moisturizer, with a dusting of Bare Minerals Foundation to set. Bare Minerals Blush in Giddy Pink on cheeks, Benefit Posie Tint on Lips with Chanel Glossimer in Lollipop. And, of course – Multiple layers of Benefit Badgal mascara on my lashes.

I HATE just linking to other sites. I know lots of bloggers do that, but I usually have my own point of view about things and I honestly think I’m better than that. It’s totally cheating if you just link to another site and sit back without having added something to the mix.
HOWEVER…
Bella Sugar does award show recaps better than I ever could. When it comes to showcasing the hair and make-up trends that dominate a Hollywood event, they are the best!
This year the stars seemed to opt for softer looks than we’ve previously seen at the Grammy Awards; Full faux lashes, subtle smokey eyes, and pale lips dominated the red carpet.
My favorites: Taylor Swift, Kate Beckinsale, Jennifer Hudson, and Katy Perry.

New Year, New Work: BLOC PARTY
These guys have been on my short list of people I would kill to work with ever since I saw them at Coachella back in 2006.
I literally (and very painstakingly) re-arranged my schedule in order to make myself available for this shoot, and I have absolutely no regrets about it.
They are lovely. Seriously.
I’m not just saying that because I LOVE ‘Silent Alarm‘ and it might be my favorite album, ever. Yes, ever.
They really were a pleasure.
