Blog Talk Radio – 5/1/09!

Earlier this month, Erika Lehmann of Chic Shopper Chick (she’s also one of the Walmart Elevenmoms) invited me to be a guest host on Blog Talk Radio!

It was a great experience, and I got to spend a half hour answering beauty questions from listeners all over the country.  Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to get to all of the questions – But, hopefully I’ll get to return to the show later this year to answer more questions and share more of my tips and tricks!

If you were on my email blast yesterday, then you may have noticed that I provided an incorrect link to my twitter page.

My bad.  I try my hardest to spell check and proof read…And, in general, make sure that everything is perfect.  But, it’s not easy running a one woman show – You feel me?  Occasionally things get stupid and complicated on my end: Like when my contact list loads with quotes around every single email address, which makes it impossible to send any emails unless I go in and manually remove each of the random quotes.  Yesterday, that task took me an hour, and my eyeballs felt like they might fall out from ‘quote removal’ OVERLOAD, and I totally made a gaffe. I’m human, and sometimes it happens.

Anyway, I made an oops and wanted to make it right by providing the correct link to my twitter page.

New Year. New Room. Busted Computer. Bad Hair.

2009 is off to a weird start – And I realize I fell off the grid a bit, but between settling into the new year, moving into a new room, a busted computer and a brief hair emergency (It turned ORANGE.  No lie), I have been way too preoccupied to even attempt to keep up here.

The logic board on my Macbook crapped out, and it took 2 weeks to get repaired which is why the blog went silent for a while.  But my little Macbook is back, and I’m getting back into the grind: Check out the Women’s Gallery for a bunch of new images that were uploaded yesterday!

As for my hair – It’s back to dark after turning NEON ORANGE following an impulsive decision to go blonde.  In case you’re thinking of trying to go blonde too, my advice is not to even think about doing it yourself.  That box bleach is DISASTROUS, and I was really asking for trouble the moment I slapped that shit on my head.

Thank God for Philip B haircare.  Without the Peppermint & Avocado Shampoo and Light Weight Deep Conditioning Rinse, I really think my hair might have fallen out.  If your hair is in need of a little extra TLC I highly recommend these products – They are LOADED with plant extracts and oils and will revive even the most damaged locks back to life.

Anyway, check the blog often for updates, which will be coming regularly again.  Promise.

Bijules Show at Socialista 9.12.08

Last week I got the opportunity to do makeup for the Bijules show at Socialista.  Jules Kim is an AMAZING jeweler, and one of my favorite people to work with – And I LOVE that I got the opportunity to work with the new black lip gloss from Armour!
